Crizalk is a prescription medication containing Crizotinib, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor used in the treatment of certain types of cancer. It is available in two strengths: 200 mg and 250 mg capsules.
Crizalk is primarily prescribed for:
Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC): Specifically for patients whose tumors are ALK-positive or ROS1-positive.
It works by inhibiting the activity of the abnormal proteins that drive cancer cell growth in these specific genetic subtypes.
Standard Dosage: Typically, 250 mg taken orally twice daily.
Administration: Can be taken with or without food, but should be taken at the same time each day.
Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, it should be skipped, and the next dose should be taken at the regular time. Do not double the dose.

Swelling (Edema)
Decreased appetite
Vision disorders
Gastrointestinal issues (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea)

Most side effects are manageable, but it’s important to consult your doctor if they persist or worsen.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding: Crizalk is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding due to potential harm to the baby.
Driving & Operating Machinery: May cause dizziness or vision disorders; avoid such activities until you know how the medication affects you.
Liver & Kidney Function: Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney disease; dose adjustments may be necessary.
Drug Interactions: Inform your doctor about all medications and supplements you are taking to avoid adverse interactions.
