Asparaginase is used in the treatment of some kinds of cancer of white blood cells (leukemia). It may also be used to treat other types of cancer as determined by your doctor. It may be used on its own, or sometimes given together with certain other medicines as part of combination chemotherapy.

Pregnancy: CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR – Asparaginase may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. However, the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation: CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR – Asparaginase is probably unsafe to use during lactation.

Alcohol: CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR – Interaction with alcohol is not known. Please consult your doctor.
