             Tepotinib selectively inhibits the MET receptor tyrosine kinase, which is involved in tumor cell proliferation, survival, and metastasis.


📋 Indications

 

     Tepmetko is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with metastatic NSCLC whose tumors have a mutation leading to MET exon 14 skipping, as detected by an FDA-approved test.


💊 Dosage & Administration

 

  • Recommended Dosage: 450 mg orally once daily with food.

  • Administration Instructions:

    • Take at approximately the same time each day.

    • Swallow tablets whole; do not chew, crush, or split.

    • If a dose is missed and it’s more than 8 hours until the next dose, take it as soon as possible. If less than 8 hours remain, skip the missed dose.

    • If vomiting occurs after taking a dose, do not take an additional dose; take the next dose at the scheduled time.


⚠️ Warnings & Precautions

 

  • Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD)/Pneumonitis: Tepmetko may cause severe or life-threatening ILD/pneumonitis. Monitor for new or worsening respiratory symptoms. Permanently discontinue if ILD is confirmed.

  • Hepatotoxicity: Elevations in liver enzymes (ALT, AST) can occur. Monitor liver function tests before and during treatment. Adjust dose or discontinue if severe liver injury is suspected.

  • Embryo-Fetal Toxicity: Tepmetko can cause fetal harm. Advise females of reproductive potential to use effective contraception during treatment and for one week after the last dose.
