Viganext Powder for Oral Solution may be taken with or without food. However, take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor may cause a worsening of your condition.
Viganext 500mg Sachet is an antiepileptic medication developed by MSN Laboratories, India. It contains Vigabatrin, a GABA transaminase inhibitor, and is primarily used to treat:
Infantile Spasms: Monotherapy for infants aged 1 month to 2 years.
Refractory Complex Partial Seizures: Adjunctive therapy for patients aged 2 years and older who have not responded adequately to several alternative treatments.

Vision Loss Warning: Vigabatrin can cause permanent bilateral concentric visual field constriction, including tunnel vision. The onset is unpredictable and can occur within weeks of starting treatment or at any time thereafter. Regular vision assessments are recommended before starting therapy, every 3 months during therapy, and after discontinuation.
Common Side Effects: Tiredness, sleepiness, dizziness, joint pain, weight gain, swelling, tremor, blurred vision, and psychological disturbances such as agitation and depression.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to Vigabatrin.
Use in Specific Populations: Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless clearly necessary. Use with caution in patients with psychiatric illnesses, liver or kidney problems.
